My read a thon for Harris Channing's books

I have found a new author and I have also found a new friend. I recently went to the IRC wiath my great friend Cindy Callaway and we had the pleasure to meet authors Lori Brighton and Harris Channing. I had not read any of their books. I teased them that I was going to bring them home with me they are so much fun. Well it is not possible to bring them home with me, but I could bring home their books. So now I am in a read a thon to read their books.

I have picked Harris' books to read first. She has so many different genres and I couldn't wait to jump in. I thought why not have a marathon of her books, so now I have started. I have read the first one and finished it.

Blurb:
Mother Nature plays matchmaker...

Frostbitten Roberta Shallcross is a woman in need of a hero. David Henderson is far from that. He's a drunk who can't get past the murder of his wife, Sarah.

When David grudgingly saves Bobbie's life from the Rocky Mountain wilderness, she intends to return the favor. But will their burgeoning affection be powerful enough to overcome his guilt and grief?

Review:
OMG why have I not read this book already. In Sarah's Shadow is a American Historical. This story is about two people that meet through tragedy and the trials of living in the snow covered Colorado mountains. David has lost his wife to murder and Roberta has been in an accident and can't find her family. She wonders through the snow and finds his cabin.David has given up hope and is living in the bottom of a whiskey bottle, Roberta is hopeful that she can be reunited with her family. I love love love this story and I recommend it as a must read

Author:
An Army brat, Harris Channing traveled around the Southern US and Europe as a child before settling in Tennessee as an adult. Married with two children, she enjoys her family, reading, writing, and gardening.

Now I am on to the next book " The Demon is in the Details" I will post about it when I am finished.

Blurb:
Stella Campbell has come back to Silverton, Georgia to bury her wicked witch of an aunt. But is she strong enough to endure what's to come?

Zane Weathers has been around a long time, like, two thousand years. But he's never met anyone who touches his warrior soul, like Stella.

Together they must face not only personal obstacles, but obstacles straight from hell!

Review:
This is the second book that I have read by Harris Channing and I was just as happy with this one as I was the other. This is a paranormal romance and a really good one at that. Stella has to return to her home town in South Georgia after her aunt has died. She has to return to a house that something horrible has happened to her and get it cleaned out. While she is there a vehicle pulls into the driveway and someone get out. His name is Zane and he is there to inquire about painting the house. That is not his only reason. (I don't know how authors get these worlds built and these characters made so real.) There are Demons after Stella and Zane is there to help her. This was so much fun to read and the ending was great. Get a copy and read it for yourself

Now on to the next book by Harris "His for the Taking".

Blurb:
Lady Julianna loves Lord Jonathan Denbigh. But is he deserving?

Julianna's grandmother, Lady Chesterfield certainly doesn't think so but wants her granddaughter happy.

When Jonathan refuses to marry Julianna, Lady Chesterfield puts a ploy into motion that will see her granddaughter engaged by the end of the season. To one man or another...

Review:
I loved this story. Julianne and Jonathon have been friends for a very long time. She  is in love with him and he doesn't think that he is in love with her until she leaves for London. Read this  and you will not be sorry.

The read-a -thon has been going on all this week and I have read : The Unwilling Baroness, which is a wonderful novella . You really need to read this one. Check out all of my reviews on Goodreads https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11419259-an-unwilling-baroness.

I have enjoyed reading Harris Channing's stories this week and I do have a few more that I will be reading in the next few weeks. Give her stories a try and I think you will be hooked like I am.
