His Touch (Brie Learns to Obey)
From Red's playlist

Instead of coming to her, Sir leaned against the wall and stared at Brie—at her naked body, strapped down and eager for him. She basked in his gaze. It was just like the photo she’d admired; her fantasies were now her reality.
“Some men think they need toys to excite a woman, but I don’t believe that. No, I believe firmly in the power of touch.” He continued to gaze at Brie, without making a move towards her. The fact he was taking his time made her want him all the more.
When Sir finally pushed away from the wall and walked towards her, she was literally trembling in anticipation. When his hand lightly touched her stomach, she gasped. All her awareness was focused on that one area. He gave her a leisurely smile as his fingers made their way up to her breasts.

Marquis Gray’s Flogger (Brie Learns Her Power as a Submissive)

From Red's playlist

“Turn and close your eyes,” Marquis Gray commanded as he produced a ribbon of black lace. “I find lace far more attractive than traditional blindfolds.”
He moved away from her, but soon returned, placing more ribbon in her hand. “It’s black, like your blindfold. Feel it. I want you to envision what it looks like.” She fingered the long, narrow length of ribbon. It was silky smooth, incredibly soft. “This will act as your bonds.”

He replaced the silk with a handful of lace. “It’s a deep burgundy. Touch it, pet.” Brie played with the lace in her hands, noting the roughness of it. “This will be caressing your body in a few minutes.”
Marquis Gray took it from her and left her side again. When he returned, she heard him chuckling under his breath. Brie held out her hand, but he lifted her other hand and placed the item in both. She was worried when she felt something heavy that also smelled of leather. She caressed it with her fingers and a cold chill gripped her heart. One end was a hard handle, and the other had numerous leather tendrils. A flogger.
He leaned in close to her ear, his warm breath on her neck. “I am an expert at what I do. By the time I finish, you will be begging me for more.

The Art of Kinbaku (Brie Embraces Bondage)

From Red's playlist

“This is a long process, toriko. It is essential that you and I are in sync.” He motioned for her to kneel. He knelt behind and wrapped his arms around her, pressing Brie against his chest. “Find my breath and copy it. Breathe with me, toriko.”
She was startled by his request, but c
almed herself enough to listen to his breathing. She began matching her own with his. Tono’s breaths were consistent and measured. She had to slow way down to harmonize. Soon she felt her entire body relax as she became one with him. “Good…” he murmured softly. “If you feel anxious at any point, I want you to match your breath with mine.”
Brie nodded. He picked up a long jute rope and showed it to her. “Today, this simple material will transport you to nirvana.” She touched it and was surprised that it felt both soft and rough. “Smell it, toriko.” She took in its earthy smell and smiled.
“We are all in harmony. You, me…the rope.” He released her from his embrace and asked her to lift her hands in the air. He opened the kimono slightly, exposing her cleavage. Then, with an artist’s precision, he began to slowly wrap her chest in a bra-like fashion. The rope crisscrossed above and below her breasts, making them stand out alluringly. Brie noticed that the rope’s tight hold restricted her breathing, and it frightened her.
“Breathe with me, toriko,” he reminded her. She calmed her quick, shallow breaths to match his breathing again. Instantly, she felt calmer.

Rugged Hearts by Amanda McIntyre

Rugged Hearts is another fantastic book by author Amanda McIntyre. I couldn't put it down and had it read in less than two days and I am a slow reader. The main characters Wyatt and Aimee really play off of each other perfectly. Who can resist a rancher and the local school's Second grade teacher. This story has just the right amount of Sweet and Hot. Give this story a look and I don't think you will be sorry.  I give this book a five star review!! Waiting for the next installment in this series.

Blurb:
A sizzling new series packed with heart from Amanda McIntyre, RUGGED HEARTS—Book I, The Kinnison Legacy! Meet Wyatt, Dalton and Rein, the formidable men of the Kinnison Legacy and the women who will tame them!
Rugged, quiet, hardworking, Wyatt takes his position as head of the Kinnison family seriously. But the scars of betrayal by the women to whom he once trusted his heart now prompt his stark, simple game plan, and no one in hell is going to convince him any differently. What matters most, besides the welfare of his brothers, is to manage the ranch left to him and never risk his heart again to something as foolish as love—but after meeting Aimee, Wyatt begins to realize that a man should never say never to a determined second grade teacher.
When vivacious, resilient Aimee Worth loses her twin sister in a tragic accident, she makes the choice to live out her sister’s dream of teaching in the small mountain community called End of the Line, Montana, never suspecting she’d meet her Mr. Right in the middle of nowhere—he just doesn't know it yet. Used to challenges, her spirit shatters the perceptions that have kept him isolated from living life beyond the ranch, proving to him that when it comes to love, the greatest risk is not taking one.

Excerpt: Rugged Hearts, Book I of the Kinnison Legacy-Amanda McIntyre
(**set-up…Aimee is realizing that with the storm subsiding, this chance she has to tell Wyatt how she feels is coming to a close. It may be now or never…)
Aimee reasoned the rise in her emotional state was likely due to the fact her fantasy last few days were closing to an end and she’d have to return to reality. More than once, she’d pondered whether she would hear from Wyatt once their lives returned to normal. Preoccupied with her thoughts, she stubbed her toe against the heavy foot of the couch and stumbled forward. Wyatt reached out and grabbed her arm before she fell flat on her face. He smiled down at her. “Maybe the day is catching up to you. How about you sit here and I’ll bring us our drinks?”
She nodded, succumbing to momentary panic as she touched his arm. If she didn’t let him know how she felt, how would he ever know? This might be her only chance to do so. He glanced over his shoulder.
“Yeah? Is there something else I can get for you?”
Confronted by the fear that he might reject her, she fought to dislodge the words perched on the end of her tongue. His dark gaze swept over her, causing her thoughts to muddle. “I-I just want to….” Her heart thrummed against her ribs as she tried to unscramble the thoughts in her brain. He reached for her hand and pulled her into the dark entryway out of view in case anyone should awaken.
“I hope this is what you were thinking.” He circled his arms around her waist, drawing her to him. “Otherwise, this could get mighty awkward.”
A small sigh escaped her lips. Aimee reached up and drew his face to hers. Their mouths met in furious need. Hungry to appease the desire ignited between them.
“Is this moving too fast?” It was the last shred of reason she possessed. Wyatt left a trail of hot kisses down her throat.
“Tell me to stop and I swear I’ll try.”
“I should, God help me, but I need a minute more.” She grabbed his face and kissed him hard. He broke the kiss and searched her eyes.
“Good. Makes,” he kissed her again, “two of us.”
Each time his lips touched hers, the scant reserve she’d built up since the night in the kitchen came tumbling down. She grabbed his shirt, deep inside realizing that she wanted so much more than it seemed he could offer, but selfish need urged her on, needing these precious moments, even if they were all she’d ever have. Her fingers itched to touch him and slipping her hands beneath his shirt, her palms found his warm, muscled chest. A quiet groan emitted from his throat. He rested his forehead to hers.
“Do you have any idea how much I want you?” he whispered. His calloused hands eased under her sweater, sliding upward over her flesh setting her skin on fire. He closed his palm over her covered breast, kneading gently as his mouth met hers, tongues mating in the ancient dance. She pushed her hands though his hair, lost in his pleasuring, her body growing desperate with need. His fingers made short work of the snap of her jeans.
“We shouldn’t.” It was a weak admonishment at best. She pulled his face to hers in a searing kiss, effectively obliterated her lackluster warning.
“We’d be so good together. I know it.” His breath fanned against her ear.
Aimee swallowed a sigh. There was no doubt in her mind he was right.

LD Con Nashville

This was such a great day!! Donna Grant and Lisa Renee Jones are having conferences this year and I was able to attend the Nashville event. Unfortunately Lisa was ill and not able to make it, but Donna was so much fun! I was one of the lucky 5 to win lunch with Donna at Darfon's. Best lunch ever!!!! The other ladies that attended were hilarious and Danette had us in stitches with her stories of her "Dark Bitches" neighbors.(They call themselves that .) and her historical stories from Knoxville.  After lunch we went to the convention and had a question and answer session with Donna and a game of romance Pictionary. Trivia questions were asked and Melissa (Donna's Assistant) gave out books, audio books and tons of swag. We had a whiskey tasting and decorated cupcakes. Donna told us a little about some of her upcoming work. The ladies that I met at this conference were great.  We had so much fun that I can not wait to go to another conference in the near future. This was my first conference but will not be my last I am now hooked, if you get the chance to attend one of the many conventions that go on throughout the year do it!!
In honor of my first convention I am going to give away some of the swag and a LD Con bag to one lucky poster. Just leave a post to this telling me if you have ever been to a convention or if there is one that you would like to attend. I will pick a winner on 4/7/13. US entries only.Check back on 4/7 to see if you are the winner!!

Cursed by Diamonds by J. K. Ensley

Cursed by Diamonds is the first book in the Dance with Destiny series by J. K. Ensley. I just finished it and I have to say that it is a really good book. Jenevier is the main character and she has been marked by a Dark Prince. In order to be able to escape becoming the latest in a long history of women that the Prince has used up and sent to become his Banshee slaves Jenevier must go on a journey to find the one being that can help her. The journey is not only hers, her leaving affects not only her but two of her friends.

I started reading this book and was a little confused at first about what was happening, but all of my questions were answered at the end. The path that the main character takes to become what she is destined to become is such an interesting journey. I did not have any idea that this is where the story was going when I began reading it. Well worth the time I took to read it and I want to know what happens to these characters in future books. Well written and I really loved the worlds that J.K had built. I recommend this book to young adult and adult readers. There is romance and references to adult situations, but not graphic. Give this book a try and I think you will enjoy it.  Until next time keep reading.
BLURB
Jenevier and Jezreel are childhood friends spending the summer with Jenevier's dying Aunt Marlise, the healer in a town called Moorglen. At Marlise's Life Celebration feast, the twisted Prince of Wrothdem marks Jenevier with a curse worse than death. A valiant young man joins the two maidens in a quest to break the curse and restore their carefree lives.
Alas, Fate has different plans.
Decisions and choices are grand focal points in every individual’s destiny. One wrong step, no matter how noble, can irrecoverably alter countless lives. The path you choose to take, and what you are willing to sacrifice, becomes your true mark of worth.
Jenevier is forced to follow the cryptic warnings of her aunt and journey to a place she has never seen, trusting a man she knows nothing about. Alastyn travels north to find the hidden Elven people, rumored to have first-hand knowledge of the black curse. And, Jezreel chooses to follow a much darker path when she invites magic along for the ride.
Years will pass as each friend endures what they must for the sake of love and the duty of friendship. But, how much of yourself can you sacrifice before you are no longer who you once were? Is it worth it? Is winning worth any price? Is freedom?
Every curse has a blessing and every blessing has a curse. When you stand face to face with your destiny, will you be able to tell one from the other?

CALEB by EMMA LANG

BETH WILLIAMSON’S                       Month of Cowboy lovin’    BLOG TOUR,            February 1 – February 28

CALEB by EMMA LANG

SPREADING THE CALEB LOVE THE ENTIRE MONTH OF FEBRUARY

Caleb blurb:
A Texas Ranger, a lady blacksmith, a fierce passion, a dangerous game.
Caleb Graham has spent the last four years in too many dangerous situations to count. As a Texas Ranger, he knows no fear, or at least he never shows it. When he’s sent to force a blacksmith off government seized property, he runs face to face into the woman who will change his life.
Aurora Foster grew up on the very land the obnoxious Ranger is trying to throw her off of. Her parents and her husband died for it and there is no chance she would leave without a fight. A lady blacksmith might be an anomaly but she has the strength of the steel she forges and the courage to fight for what she believes is right.
When Aurora is inadvertently injured by Caleb, he seeks medical help from a neighboring ranch. The sprawling hacienda is full of the finer things in life and the one person Caleb never expected to see again… his youngest brother Benjamin. Forced to flee from a man who has kept the boy captive, the trio become traveling companions in a deadly game where no one wins.
Life turns upside down and sideways for Caleb and Aurora, caught in a game neither of them expected while they desperately try to save the boy who was lost to his family. Pursued and hunted, the three of them ride for the Circle Eight ranch. The unlikely pair of rescuers fight their attraction and for their lives.

Caleb Excerpt:

READ AN EXCERPT

Caleb was pleasantly full of meatloaf and green beans, and even a piece of peach pie. The restaurant in the tiny town of Marks Creek was a treasure. He hadn’t had such a wonderful meal outside of the Circle Eight. He was in a good mood, surprisingly good.
Not only had he located Rory Foster but he had directions to the smithy. The mission was by far the easiest he’d ever been sent on. Now he had to convince Foster to leave the property. Texas had plans for that particular parcel of land and they had let him squat there long enough. Caleb didn’t know the particulars, and he didn’t want to know. All he had to do was carry out his orders and then ride back to headquarters for his next assignment.
It should be easy as the ride out to Foster’s smithy. Regardless of what a good mood he was in, Caleb made sure his pistol and rifle were both loaded. He was about to evict a man of what was perceived as “his” property. There would be resistance, but if Caleb was smart, he would control the situation from the moment he stepped foot on the property.
The area was beautiful with rolling hills, a plump creek running freely and the kind of thick grass cattle could get fat on. It was clear why the smithy stayed when the Republic of Texas told him to leave. Caleb might have stayed too if he’d been smack dab in the middle of such rich land.
He followed the smell of smoke and rode up to a square building with a sign that read “Foster’s Smithy” in faded red letters. It was a typical blacksmith’s shop, with large windows controlled by hinged wood panels. The smoke and heat could get fierce inside the building. There was an enormous stone forge inside and a large number of tools scattered around, not to mention an anvil that probably weighed more than a team of horses. It was a solid shop and Caleb felt a pinch of guilt for arriving to take it all away from Foster.
He dismounted and finally noticed the tiny shack in the shadows behind the smithy. It wasn’t quite a house, but it did have a door, one tiny window and a smoke stack, which meant there was a heat source inside, likely a stove of some sort. It must be where the blacksmith lived, modest as it was. There was great care taken in the actual smithy which told Caleb the man might be more difficult to remove than he expected.
“Foster?” Caleb walked into the larger building. The forge wasn’t fired up, the embers glowed orange. “Is anybody here?”
He hoped like hell nobody told the man there was a marshal on the way. If so, his job got even harder. Caleb kept his hand on his pistol as he walked around the building. Whoever the blacksmith was, he had skills. The iron work was top notch, even in the pieces that weren’t finished yet.
“Who are you?” A woman’s voice startled him from his perusal.
He turned to find a man wearing a leather apron and cap, and trousers that had seen better days. Caleb shook his head and frowned at him.
“Ranger Caleb Graham. Who are you?” He couldn’t equate the husky woman’s voice with the blacksmith. Was he hiding her in the apron?
“Aurora Foster.”
The voice came from the man’s mouth. The ground shifted beneath his feet as realization hit him. Sweet heaven above. Rory Foster. Aurora Foster. Holy hell. The blacksmith he was there to evict was a woman? When he got back to headquarters, he’d give his commander a piece of his mind about this particular assignment.
“You’re a woman.”
“I can see why you’re a crack man of the law, ranger.” She raised one brow. “You’re trespassing.”
He swallowed his response to her sarcasm. She definitely wasn’t a wilting flower but the leather apron should have told him that. “You have that backwards, Mrs. Foster. You are the one trespassing. This property belongs to the Republic of Texas.”
Her mouth twisted. “That’s ridiculous. My parents settled this land twenty years ago. The republic can go find someone else to harass.” A very large, lethal looking sickle appeared in her hand from beneath the apron. “Now leave.”
Caleb took a few moments to study her. Taller than the average woman, she also had muscles most women didn’t. Honed, lean arms and long hands, a heart-shaped face with an upturned nose. The one thing that set her apart were the amber eyes currently staring holes in him. They were an unusual shade, like the colors of the embers in the forge behind him.
“I can’t do that.”
“Then I will make you.” She pulled a huge cleaver out with her other hand. The woman was a lethal weapon with all the blades she made.
Caleb decided to appeal to the woman’s logical side, if she had one. Truth was, he was distracted by the way she looked and spoke. He’d had plenty of experience with females, but no one like Aurora Foster. “You’re the blacksmith Rory Foster. Is that correct?”
“Only my friends call me Rory. You can call me Mrs. Foster as you ride off my land.” She ran the sickle down the edge of the cleaver. It made a screeching sound that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. Was she going to chop him into pieces?
“It’s not your land.”
“That’s a pile of horse shit. This land belonged to my father and now it belongs to me.” Her tone and her expression told him he had a hell of a fight on his hands.
“Females can’t own property in Texas, Mrs. Foster. I’m guessing no one ever told you that. It’s understandable that you think this is yours—”
“I don’t think anything. I know.” She stepped closer, her hands tightening on the weapons. “Now get out before I make you leave.”
Caleb sighed. “I can’t leave.” He didn’t want to pull his pistol on the woman. Hell, even the most aggravating female deserved respect. “Ma’am, this is my job. I have an assignment to remove an illegal squatter off land owned by the Republic of Texas. I can’t leave until it’s done.”
She bared her teeth. “Get out of my smithy.”

A Touch Too Much by Chris Lange

I am so happy to have Chris Lange on my Blog today with the release of her newest book "A Touch Too Much.  You may be thinking oh my not another Vampire story, but Chris' Vampires are not your sparkly vampires. Here I will let Chris tell you about her Vampires.
Another vamp story, oh yes!
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of vampires. Why? Probably because they’re dangerous, powerful, exciting, and they have no problem breaking the rules of mortality. My love for them began with Angel, the dark sensual creature of the night who stalked the slayer Buffy in the shadows, and this little obsession of mine is still strong today J
I began writing A TOUCH TOO MUCH with a precise idea in mind then somewhere along the line a new character distracted me. I tried to push him away but what do you know, he kept knocking on my door. Knocking, knocking and pounding. I don’t usually allow myself this kind of distraction but, oh, God, he was so gorgeous, sexy and persistent that I was unable to resist his charm and I invited him into my book. So you will meet this ruthless vampire and I hope he’ll invade your dreams too J
Thank you, lovely Lorie, for hosting me today. It’s always a real pleasure and an honor. And to you all, happy reading!

A TOUCH TOO MUCH: Liv doesn’t have super powers or magic, not even special fighting skills. She isn’t a hero but just a normal girl living a regular life. Yet if ancient prophecies are to be trusted, she possesses the means to destroy creatures of the night.
One late evening, in a dark deserted parking lot, two men fight to the death. One wants to protect her, the other is intent on killing her. And he doesn’t appear to be quite human.
But in the real world vampires don't exist. At least not until one of them scents her. And pursues her. As she flees to save her life, she feels the power in her blood. The power that might eradicate a world of violence and darkness. The power that enchains her to the most ruthless vampire of all.
I have enjoyed all of Chris' book and this one will be no different. Her last vampire book "Gabriel" ROCKED !!!!!   Leave a comment and I will draw one lucky reader to win a copy of "Gabriel" on 2/3/13.

A Lady Can Never Be Too Curious by Mary Wine

Steamy sexual tension and secret societies fuse together in Wine’s electrifying first steampunk romance Janette Aston is fascinated by all things scientific, and couldn’t care less that her thirst for knowledge is regarded as unladylike by Victorian society. Enthralled by the Illuminists, a group of individuals committed to scientific discovery, she sneaks into their headquarters and is caught by Darius Lawley, an Illuminist Guardian. The attraction between the two is instant and magnetic. When the Illuminists realize Janette is a rare Pure Spirit who can harness the power of crystals, she’s targeted by a rival society, the Helikeians. It’s up to Darius to protect her for the sake of science and love.

Here is a little snippet from the book!!!!

Fans opened as they passed, whispers filling the room. She and Darius stood alone in the middle of the dance floor for a moment that felt endless. At last someone cleared their throat, which prompted other men to offer their hands to the nearest lady before Mrs. Brimmer was offended. Silk petticoats rustled and heels hit the floor too hard as couples rushed to join the dance set.
The musicians struck up a lively tune. Janette curtsied and moved forward for the first close turn of the dance. A shiver shot down her spine the moment she tipped her head back to maintain eye contact.
“You might at least wipe the smirk off your face,” she snapped. “I’d have danced with a leper to avoid displeasing Mrs. Brimmer.”
She swept away, grateful for a chance to catch her breath. But when the steps called for her to be turned about with him close behind her, he took the opportunity to reply.
“As would I.” She gasped as his words teased her ear. “But you’re dancing with an Illuminist, somewhat the same in your father’s eyes.” His tone wasn’t dark and teasing, but somewhat expectant.

                                                        My Review
I really enjoyed this book and can"t wait for the next installment.  Janette and Darius are really good together.  Janette is curious about the Illuminist and their differences from the society that she is used to and she sneaks into their building and accidentally touches one of their crystals. Only the Pure Spirit can touch this certain level of crystal and they are very rare.  She is taken to their Guardian office and questioned by Darius Lawley. She is allowed to leave but she has became known to the Illuminist and the Helikeians.  She has to escape the Helikeians and with the help of Darius find out how they found out about her.  There is a very strong pull between Janette and Darius and a very lovely and hot love story come out it.  I recommend this book so give it a try.

Why did you decide to write a romance novel?
After everything that happened tae me personally, so many people kept telling me I should write a book about it. I was reluctant as I'd nae ever written anything afore, well nae since High School but I decided tae give it a go. I made it an Action/Romance as I'd heard that Romance books were the most popular and that element did play a big part in my story.

How have you been received as a male writer in the romance genre?
It's been guid so fer, all readers and other writers have been friendly and helpful.
What is the name of your next book and do you know when it will be released?
Kilted Desire 2 - Russian Roulette, is due tae be released on December 15th 2012

Here is a fun question- Like your character Scott do you get stopped when women hear your accent?
Aye, it happens a lot. Virtually everytime I go oot. It's quite funny really ;)

Kilted Desire - Russian Roulette

After his recent adventures in the Middle East, all Scott Maclaren wanted to do was relax. He looked forward to his new life as a family man. But, things never seem to ‘go-as-planned’ for the tough Scotsman.

Soon, after his return to the U.S., Scott finds himself catapulted back in to the thick of action. Once again, he is called upon and will need of ‘all’ of his Special Forces skills, as he battles new foes.

The excitement and drama heat up, both inside and outside the bedroom in this romantic thriller. This suspenseful sequel is filled with even more action, adventure and passion.

The Temperate Warrior By Renee Vincent

The Temperate Warrior
Book 1 of the Warrior Sagas
By Renee Vincent

.
He was her champion. She was his weakness.
Gustaf Ræliksen lives by the blade of his sword. After avenging his father’s murder and reuniting with his family, he wants nothing more than to settle down and have sons of his own. Only one woman will do—a fiery redhead he saved from the spoils of war.

No longer forced to warm the beds of the men who've taken everything from her, Æsa has nothing to offer the noble warrior but her heart.

When someone with a deep score to settle seeks revenge upon her, Gustaf's world is torn asunder. He has but one vow—saving the woman he loves from the ignorant fool who dared to best the temperate warrior.

“Thinking of last night, are you?”

The familiar voice of her soon-to-be husband startled her from her reverie. She spun around to find him standing at the doorway, the light of morn lagging behind the call of dawn. Was even the sun too tired to rise into the heavens?

She smiled upon Gustaf as he barely fit beneath the door, ducking briefly to enter. “How did you know what thoughts ran through my head?”

Gustaf neared her, his footfalls drumming out the steps it would take to reach her. She counted five before he swept her in his embrace, his heady male scent pervading her senses. He bent to kiss her, his lips warm and soft.

“Like-minded,” he reminded her with a wiggle of his brow.

Æsa couldn’t help but enjoy how he’d drawn his conclusion, the memory of him belaboring the point last night behind the longhouse flooding her brain. Her mind was like a sea sponge, absorbed with so many splendid thoughts. The feel of his strong hands taking hold of her body, pleasuring her. The sound of his sultry voice, whispering behind her ear as he demanded obedience, and the sweet torment of his velvety hard shaft penetrating her, over and over again. How could she ever tire of this man? He was the best thing that had ever come into her life and she thanked the gods for bringing him to her.

It was hard to believe she would soon be his wife.

Gustaf gazed into her eyes, his smile matching hers. “When will you learn that we are both connected here,” he said, laying his hand across her heart, “and here,” tapping his long thick finger at her temple.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled herself against his strong body. “Perhaps, if you covered my mouth and whispered the command in my ear, I might listen.”

His hearty laughter vibrated through her entire being. “Even then you failed,” he proclaimed, swatting her backside. He reached up behind his head and gripped her wrists, pulling them down to his lips. He kissed the top of each hand and laid his forehead against hers. “I must admit, I enjoy when you fall short of obeying me.”

“Is that so?”

“More than you know, woman.” He took a deep breath as if to will his wanton thoughts away and stepped backward. “Have you tended to your morning ablutions?”

“Nay.”

“Come, I shall guard you as you do.” He took her hand and began to lead her out the back door.

“Why the need to accompany me?”

She heard him sigh as he tugged her outside. “Because it makes me feel better to know you are safe. Now, be quick about it.”

“Or else?” she baited, adding an extra shimmy to her hips as she sauntered to the stream.

He glared at her mildly. “Test not my patience lest you desire to feel the burn of my limited temperance on your backside.”

Author Bio:
I am an author with a passionate interest in Irish and Norse history. I live in the rolling hills of Kentucky with my husband and two children on a beautiful secluded farm of horses and hay fields.

I am a sucker for a good cup of coffee (lots of cream and sugar...and whipped cream if I can get my hands on it), great conversation, and a lilting Irish accent. I love to read and I can't resist watching great epic historical movies.

From an early age, I've always had scenes playing out in my head. Whether it was a story with a moral or a tale with a twist, those ideas have never let me sleep until I wrote them out. And considering I have an eclectic ensemble of stories swarming in my brain at any given time, I write under a couple pen names to accommodate the various genre categories.
